John graduated from Owosso High School in 1990 and went on to study at James Madison College in Michigan State University, where he earned his Bachelor of Arts Degree in 1995.

He majored in American Public Affairs-Social Relations and has a minor in Psychology. He further went on to study law at Michigan State University-Detroit College of Law and graduated in 2000.

Homola John J Atty is a member of the State Bar of Michigan and the Shiawassee County Bar Association. He lives in Owosso, Shiawassee County where he has been a resident his entire life.

An avid outdoorsman, John enjoys mountain biking, snowmobiling, boating, and hunting.
